KENNEDY AGYAPONG PLEDGES TO MOVE AGRIC MINISTRY TO TAMALE IF ELECTED AS PRESIDENT

The New Patriotic Party flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has announced plans to relocate the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to Tamale should he become the party’s presidential candidate and subsequently win the 2028 general election.

Speaking to party delegates in Tamale as part of his campaign tour, Mr. Agyapong said the move is aimed at positioning the Northern Region as the agricultural hub of Ghana. He explained that the region’s vast fertile lands make it the ideal location for strategic national agribusiness development.

Kennedy Agyapong further disclosed his intention to convert 90 percent of the Tamale Airport into a cargo terminal dedicated to the export of vegetables and other produce to European markets.

In addition, he promised to establish a fertilizer manufacturing plant to support farmers across the Northern Region. He also challenged the chiefs and people of the area to provide him with 40,000 acres of land to build factories stressing that he will deliver on that promise whether or not he becomes president.

The maverick politician urged the delegates to believe in his vision and vote massively for him in the upcoming NPP flagbearership contest.
