The Bono Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into a viral video circulating on social media that captures some police officers allegedly extorting money from motorists. In a press release issued on October 29, 2025, and posted on the Ghana Police Service’s official X page, the Command confirmed that the officers involved have been identified and subsequently interdicted to pave the way for a thorough and impartial investigation. The statement further assured the public of the Police Administration’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability among its personnel. The Command also urged the public to continue supporting efforts aimed at promoting discipline and trust within the service.

  The New Patriotic Party flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has announced plans to relocate the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to Tamale should he become the party’s presidential candidate and subsequently win the 2028 general election. Speaking to party delegates in Tamale as part of his campaign tour, Mr. Agyapong said the move is aimed at positioning the Northern Region as the agricultural hub of Ghana. He explained that the region’s vast fertile lands make it the ideal location for strategic national agribusiness development.
