NPP's COKA Brings Christmas Cheer to Dozens of Needy Widows and Physically Challenged Individuals

  NPP Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA) surprised dozens of needy widows and physically challenged individuals with Christmas packages and monies  Chairman COKA on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 shared gifts including    rice, oil, sardines, mackerel, and money. About 20 individuals received support, including a homeless widow at Atwima Takyiman, a physically challenged girl at Akokeri, and a physically challenged man at Offinso Abofour.  Some beneficiaries were randomly selected during the giveaway. "Just as God instructs us to support one another, we went out to ensure those without hope this festive season get something to eat," COKA said.  "Our aim is simple: for them to understand God loves them and will provide irrespective of their condition." "I won't say it if I'm not ready, so I want it to be clear to all gathered here, that whatever project Barimah Osei Hwedie II will initiate, I will provide financial support," he added.   A/R: OTEC FM Journalist, Partners Donate Items worth    25,000 Cedis to 80 Widows Kumasi based Journalists Kwame Agyenim Boateng (OTEC FM) and Elijah Donkor (Opemsuo Radio), alongside benevolent groups, donated Christmas gifts to over 80 widows in Ashanti Region.  The group also visited an orphanage, donating essentials like rice and cloths. The drive, in collaboration with Ebenezer Assemblies of God Church, Dorcas At Bronx New York, NAYAT Herbal Center at Dansoman, Devin Glory Hardware and Decor (Pakyi Number Two), and other benevolent individuals, distributed items worth over 25,000 cedis – including rice, oil, sardines, and toiletries.  "This has gone on for five years, thanks to kind individuals supporting these widows," Kwame Agyenim Boateng said, thanking stakeholders.   The Parent Teachers Association (PTA) of Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) has carried out a comprehensive bedbugs fumigation exercise in both the boys’ and girls’ dormitories to address a long-standing challenge affecting students. The exercise, undertaken to completely eradicate bedbugs, follows persistent complaints from students who have been disturbed by the insects during the night. The situation, according to school authorities, had begun to negatively affect students’ comfort, health, and academic performance.
