Afua Kobi Ampem Girls SHS: Old Students Honor Geography Tutor for Outstanding Contributions to Aerospace Engineering, STEM Education
The Owoahene Old Students Association of Afua Kobi Ampem Girls' Senior High School has recognized the exceptional work of geography tutor, Ferdinand Sam, with a special award for his dedication to promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.
Mr. Sam, a talented engineer in the field of Aviation, has been instrumental in designing and building drones and aeroplanes with the school, putting Ghana on the world map.
Under his guidance, the school has produced high-class drones and miniature aeroplanes, earning recognition as one of the best STEM schools in Ghana.
The old students association during the School's 50th anniversary honored Mr. Sam with a cash award of 10,000 cedis, praising his hard work and dedication to improving practical learning outcomes.
"With your efforts, our school has gained recognition as a leading STEM institution," said Benard, Global President of Owoahene Old Students Association Benard Kankam Mensah(Bencee)
"We encourage you to continue inspiring and supporting the young ones to excel in STEM fields."
Mr. Sam after receiving the award told OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng that he was grateful to the old students, the school's board, management, Headmistress, colleague teachers and the non teaching staff for their support.
He pledged to continue innovating and inspiring students to pursue careers in STEM.
