Producer of HEPA Plus Mixture Wins KNUST Award for Advancing Research in Herbal Medicine

 

The Department of Herbal Medicine at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has paid a glowing tribute to Mr. Ebenezer Agyemang, the visionary founder of Ebenage Group of Businesses producers of HEPA Plus, Pavi and Plasmox Herbal mixtures .


 In recognition of his outstanding support for research and innovation, the department has honored Mr. Agyemang for establishing the pioneering HEPA Plus Research Awards.







KNUST"s Department of Pharmacy on Saturday November 1, 2025 presented a citation to Dr Agyemang for his contributions to the department 


The Dean of of Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at KNUST Prof. Samuel Asare Nkansah presented the citation praising Dr Agyeman for  sponsoring students research at the Department 


This annual sponsorship provides a platform for innovative undergraduate research projects, promoting entrepreneurial thinking among final-year students.


 The initiative has already yielded remarkable results, with the first award-winning student research project achieving unprecedented success as part of the University Entrepreneurial Product Competition winning team, which represented the institution at an international competition in Thailand.

PTA Leads Bedbugs Fumigation Exercise at KTI Dormitories

  The Parent Teachers Association (PTA) of Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) has carried out a comprehensive bedbugs fumigation exercise in both the boys’ and girls’ dormitories to address a long-standing challenge affecting students. The exercise, undertaken to completely eradicate bedbugs, follows persistent complaints from students who have been disturbed by the insects during the night. The situation, according to school authorities, had begun to negatively affect students’ comfort, health, and academic performance.   The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has praised the Afia Kobi Ampem Girls' Senior High School for their innovation in the area of aerospace engineering.  The renowned King commended the school for their exploits in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education.
