Ashanti NPP Communication Officers Caution Kennedy Agyapong on Campaign Conduct

Constituency Communication Officers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have issued a strong caution to flagbearer hopeful, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, urging him to exercise decorum and responsible communication during his campaign activities in the region.

In a press statement signed by communication officers representing forty out of the forty-six constituencies in the region, the group welcomed Hon. Agyapong to the Ashanti Region but expressed concern over what they described as intemperate language, tribal insinuations, and divisive comments attributed to him and some members of his campaign team.

The officers noted that such conduct makes it difficult for party communicators to defend the NPP’s image on media platforms and undermines party unity at a critical time. They contrasted this with the communication style of Vice President, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, which they described as respectful, issues-based, and appealing to the general public.

The statement warned that the Ashanti Region, as the stronghold of the NPP, will not tolerate hate speech, insults, or actions that threaten party cohesion. The communicators called on all aspirants and their supporters to uphold the values of unity, discipline, and responsible campaigning as the party works toward a successful internal contest and future electoral victory.
