As the first female Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, you have led with wisdom, grace, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. 


But beyond the office, you are a mother figure to thousands of students, faculty, and staff who look up to you for guidance and inspiration.


You embody the very best of motherhood: nurturing talent, sacrificing for the next generation, and building a home of knowledge where dreams take flight.


 Your leadership continues to uplift young women in academia, proving that brilliance and compassion can lead together.


To a woman who balances scholarship with service, innovation with empathy — thank you.


 Thank you for mothering a university and shaping the future of Ghana through education.

PTA Leads Bedbugs Fumigation Exercise at KTI Dormitories

  The Parent Teachers Association (PTA) of Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) has carried out a comprehensive bedbugs fumigation exercise in both the boys’ and girls’ dormitories to address a long-standing challenge affecting students. The exercise, undertaken to completely eradicate bedbugs, follows persistent complaints from students who have been disturbed by the insects during the night. The situation, according to school authorities, had begun to negatively affect students’ comfort, health, and academic performance. Speaking in an exclusive interview with OTEC News reporter Solomon Nimo, the Financial Secretary of the PTA, Mr. Abdul Basit Yawuza, explained that bedbugs can cause skin irritations, allergic reactions, and infections. Asantehene Praises Afia Kobi Ampem Girls' SHS for Aerospace Innovation

  The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has praised the Afia Kobi Ampem Girls' Senior High School for their innovation in the area of aerospace engineering.  The renowned King commended the school for their exploits in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education. The Afia Kobi Ampem Girls' SHS is known for designing and manufacturing aeroplanes and drones, putting Ghana on the world map. The Asantehene's speech was read on his behalf by Otumfuo Hiahene Professor Oheneba Boakye    Woahene Agyei during the 50th anniversary celebration of the school on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
