Promasidor Ghana Marks World Milk Day, Feeds Nutrition Knowledge to Over 10,000 Ashanti Students

Promasidor Ghana Limited marked World Milk Day by reaching more than 10,000 students across selected schools in the Ashanti Region, under the theme “The Role of Women in Daily Nourishment.”

As part of the celebration, pupils of T.I. Ahmadiyya Basic School, Afaus Love School, and State Experimental Basic School received Cowbell milk products and exercise books to support both their nutrition and education.

Speaking at the event on Monday, June 1, 2026, Brand Executive for Cowbell, Linda Akua Penny, highlighted the health benefits of milk and urged parents to prioritize it in children’s diets.

“Milk is essential for growth, strong bones, and brain development. We’re encouraging parents to include milk, especially Cowbell products, in their children’s daily meals to support healthy growth and development,”. She said.

Also addressing the students, Nursing Officer at Asfo Boakye Specialist Hospital, Eric Osei Asenso, stressed the long-term health benefits of regular milk consumption

“Milk should be part of our daily meals. It helps maintain strong and healthy bones, and builds the foundation for a healthy life.”

Some students who benefited from the exercise expressed appreciation to Promasidor Ghana for combining learning with nutrition support.

“We’ve learned why milk is good for us, and we’re happy for the milk and exercise books. Thank you, Cowbell,” one pupil said.

The World Milk Day outreach forms part of Promasidor’s ongoing commitment to nutrition education and community support across Ghana.
